LOVE working out, LOVE having muscles, LOVE feeling good inside and out.

But I can't eat. I just..can hardly eat. I've been skinny almost ALL my life, I did go a few years with being fit/muscle toned, but I lose it depending on life events... I went through s traumatic life experience I'm really underweight for my height, I'm considered quite "tall" for a woman, my older brothers are giants compared to me and my younger brother is about my height or about an inch taller, I think?

How do I start eating again or at least how do I learn to love food?? I like to cook and I get complimented on my food, but I can't eat...and I don't have a place to cook, so I eat garbage take out food almost EVERY DAY. It tasted mediocre and I'd killing my wallet..

The only time I like food is when I'm high, but I don't want to use that as a crutch, I want to eat while sober. I'm only high every once in a while to help with my chronic back pain.

Do I talk to a nutritionist? A therapist to see if maybe it's a mental block/depression?

I don't have a regular care provider or doctor at the moment... Haven't had the time to pick one nor have I had insurance to cover that, since I was job hopping at lot at one point, but I should probably get one tho..

Anyone else in the same boat as me? How did you overcome it?

Hello!

I'm sorry you are having trouble liking to eat. Since eating is an everyday thing, I imagine it must be very hard on you<3

From my experience, it's best to ditch the all or nothing mindset and starting with what you already like. When sitting down to eat a meal or snack, try to engage your sense of sight, smell, taste, and touch. This will help you to be more mindful in the moment and may increase your sense of pleasure and satisfaction in the eating experience.

If you think seeing a professional may be best, I encourage you! <3πŸ’›πŸ’«
