Still healing from surgery week five

I’m on the fifth week of my recovery from spinal fusion surgery three levels. so it was a pretty intense surgery. I did so much better after two weeks when I went to get my incisions looked at and I was released to bend, twist, BLT and I was fine and my moods were fine. Well, beginning with my fourth week all last week I’ve developed anxiety, fear, i’m still in pain, I’m not as fatigued as I was but it’s hard for me to deal with the pain which is close to my incision in my back. What I’m doing is I’m supposed to work up to walking 30 minute periods two times a day. I can only manage one 30 minute. And sometimes I can’t go to the full distance, because right now it’s cold, it’s winter, when I went out and walked last week it was 60° it was heaven! but my back is hurting where I had my second surgery for spinal fusion level three so they had to go in twice to correct my scoliosis! Sorry this is so long!

That's pretty intense and scary surgery. I'm glad the first two weeks of recovery went well. Sorry the pain has gone up after that. Hope you're taking it easy. 30 minutes is great and I'm proud of you for doing it! Work up to twice a day slowly and at your own pace <3 Hope you start feeling better soon. 💜
