Dinner With Our Alumni: Raiyan03

Hey again everyone! Hope you're all well! I'm back today to post another interview under the 'Dinner With Our Alumni' series. This interview was originally conducted by anotherfrenchtoastclub. I'm just here to do the posting hehe! So, for those of you wondering, what's this series about? It's just a short interview series conducted with our awesome 7 Cups Academy Alumni. The objective is just to gage the experiences of our graduates, in this case, of the Content Development and Marketing (CDM) Program, and hopefully spread a bit of information about it too.😃 Let's get started!

A bit about them?

• Rayain has been involved on 7 Cups, since November of last year. They're a Verified Adult-Teen listener. And now? A graduate of the CDM program! Awesomesauce heheh. They hold several different roles on 7 Cups, and just have been doing awesome in all of them so far. *Hats off* to Rayain!

• Well, pretty much any food hehe! Rayain doesn't have favourites😯

What made you join the CDM program?

-I joined the CDM program to learn about content creation. I was interested in it but had no knowledge, so I believed this free and authentic program was a great opportunity for me to learn and grow.

How was your experience doing the program?

-I had a great time during this program. I learned a lot, had new experiences, received valuable feedbacks and suggestions, and overcame challenges that helped me get out of my comfort zone and grow.

Which was your favorite activity in the program?

-My favourite activity was to make social media graphics. It was really fun seeing others' amazing graphics and making my own with a lot of creative and cool options.

How did you enjoy writing an article?

-Writing is not one of my strong skills. I'm not really fond of writing either. But I will say my writing skill and my interest towards it both have gotten better in this program. At first it felt like a burden that I had to write such a long article, but after getting instructions on it and getting used to writing little by little with the given tasks, writing my first article became much easier and enjoyable.

What advice would you give to a new CDM trainee?

-I will say, "Just be patient and don't worry too much about the whole coursework. Because at first it seems like a lot, and it's easy to get freaked out about it, but trust me, you can do it all in the course of time. Don't worry too much about it, just get it going. You've got this!"

What are some new things you learned about content through the coursework?

-I learned about the whole process of creating content. How to start, how to get information, how to check the authenticity of the information and information sources, how to make attractive titles etc. Then I learned how to make graphic content, and how to make them look cool, how to make sure the graphic presents the message clearly. I also learned a lot from the feedbacks and suggestions to improve my work from the other CDM trainees.

How did you enjoy creating graphics for the program?

-This is the part I enjoyed the most. This program is where I first learnt about graphic making. I felt very inspired seeing the graphics other trainees made and was very excited to make my own every time.
