I never found love. I love someone who doesn't love me and I want to get over it.

Cave of Clipped Wings
No one is truly an extremophile,
I'm so far away from fluorescent,
I'm exploring places where no one is to be found,
With no one to share my essence.
I eventually wandered into a cavern of clipped wings,
I could never have imagined just how sad.
All I had to do was be myself,
And I actually had,
An angel,
Eating from the palm of my hand.
What's more, I feel in love before I became fallen,
I felt the love before everything became sullen.

Sitting bored in science class
And there she was, talking about the consumption of radioactive materials and their caloric values-
Out of character, I join the conversation eagerly
We chat back and forth like we'd known each other for ages, even though we'd just met
We chat back and forth, never want it to end
I'm unsure to invite her but I do, I figure the friendship will last
And oh does it last!
Two years later, we've saved each other again and again
We have been through thick and thin
We care for each other and I still can't get over her smile
She's the sweetest girl I know and if she hadn't been talking about eating uranium, well,
I suppose both our lives would be without the other
And now I smother her with hugs and we talk until we run out of breath
