What's the best advice you've ever received from someone, and from whom?

My mom often took me to aa meetings growing up , my mother never drank in front of me. It was more a mindset matter. But in aa they always quote, “One day at a time”. Take things one day at a time. That’s all there really is.

She told me to forgive others ... and I started by forgiving her.

there is no advice for there is nothing I can do about my situation anymore other than sit. All I wish for is for someone to tell me they hear and see me, that I tried my best and did all that I could, that they are here for me and I wish to be held. Before anyone tells me I can give that to myself, yes, I know and I do, but like everyone I’m human and wish for human connection and to be seen by another, I am not “wrong” for that 😔

@DiogenesTheCynic

|the advice i got from my father is,

"don’t expect anything from anyone...expectations are the root of most sadness and stress....the less you expect, the happier you become 😊✌️"
