@jesusredeemedme2425 I've eaten "posto laga Mishti" 🥰 It's a sweet and has layers in it, inside it's soft, sweet, creamy and outside it's slightly crunchy with layer of white poppy seeds ( posto ) in it :))

@jesusredeemedme2425

Posta Dana, also known as Khus Khus or poppy seeds (Papaver Somniferum), are tiny oilseeds used worldwide as a nutritious condiment with a nutty, earthy flavor. Commonly used in Indian cuisine—especially Bengali dishes—for thickening gravies, they are rich in copper, calcium, iron, and potassium.

It's also very expensive. My mother makes sweets and savory (potato curry) out of it.

Greetings from Egypt.

we have

Falafel, which we call "fool," is beans , green/vegan patties, which we call "tahmia," are crushed beans fried in oil

Kushari is macaroni + rice , + black lentils + tomato sauce +  whatever the one cooking it decides on and it's very tasty

i can go on about stuffed foods which is an entire category here, and oven-baked meals, which is also a category.

tho the 3 above should be enough to get you started

"Fuchka" is one of the most popular food in Bangladesh. It's taste was so mouthwatering and this one is also my favorite street food. Whenever people go out in Bangladesh they usually search for fuchka, specially girls (like me😶!)

I'm a new user of this app so still don't know how to add pictures in comment that's why i can't share any picture of this food but you can see it by searching the name in Google!

Wait, it's like India's Pani Puri/Puchka. Let me share the picture for you.

Chomchom is a traditional sweet from Bangladesh consisting of milk that is cooked in sugar syrup. It is often flavored with lemon juice and cardamom powder. The sweet treat can be served in a few different varieties – with chopped nuts, malai cream, or grated coconut.

Not from Bangladesh but I once ate pitha from there❤️ Its a whole category of rice-based sweets/snacks, steamed, fried, or stuffed with coconut and jaggery. I had the sweet coconut one.🥥 It tasted a bit like Modak to me 😭 (a sweet offering given to lord Ganesh, steamed sweet filled with many stuffs from coconut to "a weird tasting sweet thing my granny make" )

Are you talking about Ukadiche Modak? 😭

It's my favourite thing in the whole wide world. ❤️

It has a rice flour outer covering with sweetened dessicated coconut stuffing.

Yes yes THAT! Whatever its called. My granny fills it with the "steamed, sweetned till the point of diabetes, and smoothened" mixture of pulses.

Not made for my taste buds 😛

1 reply
User Profile: trueconfidant123

@jesusredeemedme2425

Dehydrated after grating

Jaggery alongwith other ingredients is added to dessicated coconut and that's how the filling is prepared
