So, it's "Atho" i had this tonight 😋
It's a famous street food in our in TN. but It came to Tamil Nadu through Tamil migrants who lived in Burma (Myanmar) and returned decades ago, bringing the recipe with them.
What It Tastes: 😋
Bright orange noodles (often tossed in garlic oil)
Shredded cabbage, onions, coriander
Tamarind juice, lime juice, chilli powder for zing
Crispy bits like fried onions or bejo (a crunchy puff) on top
Sometimes served with a hot side soup poured around or over it
Street variations include egg atho, chicken atho or prawn atho too 🍤🍗 — so you get both veg & non-veg choices.

*** yeah,most of the foods are filled with seasonings and masala's that give your taste buds an heaven and refreshment like an immunity shot,but beware of street vendors food, always approch actually restaurant and confirm hygiene before eating,overally one of the best food countries

Yeah, i completely agree with what u just shared 🤧.
And I'm not a foodie or even i eat one meal per day 😄 so, i don't really love street food's but i just hung in with my cousins who just obsessed with those 😅.
But I've no idea how street food Hits way different than restaurants 😕...!!! n yeah... abt hygiene... I've got nothing to argue with 🤢.

Freshly made samosas are unbeatable. Once they’re preserved or stored, the taste drops for real, at least in my experience. 🤔
We have Indian food in the freezer section of our grocery stores. That’s sometimes the only Indian food exposure we might have. We need more Indian food here hehe

For now i suggest u to try : "Semiya"(vermicelli) it can be cooked both sweet and hot. 🤗
It can be non veg /veg ✨ It's tastes amazing when it made up with "chicken" and "prawns". but it mostly made with Egg.🥚

The white one is known as " payasam" and the red one "Kesari" 🤗✨
It taste heavenly when it's from my mom... especially "chicken semiya" i go crazy for it. 😋✨

Oh! I think I've ate the white one before! My family has always called the white one semiya. I'm not sure if that is the right name for it though since they seem to mix up a lot of names but, that might be because we're from Fiji and maybe things are different there. (My family was born in Fiji and a lot of names confuse me lol)

Yeah, yeah.. like it's semiya... but name can be changed with few ingredients difference... in gujarat it know as "Kheer" but they use "Rava" instead of vermicelli.

Oh, yeah whoops. Indo-Fijian, my mom's side is Fiji (she's fully Indian just diaphora) and my Dad's side is Punjabi/Haryana.
My family calls the one with rice kheer and the one in the picture semiya.

Mine would be... all sweet one..!! like do u know abt festival "Pongal" in TN, there is food known "Pongal" which is specially made on the day of Pongal festival.

And there is food called "Atho" (Origin-Barma) but famous in TN, especially in Chennai City. it's a famous "Street Food" here. 😊💞

I love idiyappam tooo 😊. it's so delicious with coconut milk and brown sugar. 💗 it mostly served with mutton soup around most of the restaurant but with coconut milk in house's. 😊✨
It's a Kerala food BTW, have you ever tried "PUTTU" ?? it's from Kerala, served with sugar or any Currys, i only prefer PUTTU in first place when i was there in Kerala. 😅
I personally love South indian style MACARONI. Especially when from my mom.😍

But I've tried Benne Dosa, which essentially looked like dosa sprinkled with Molaga Podi. It tasted yum but I liked the Thatte Idli combination with the ghee podi better.
