Iran, I don't know much about this country, so this should be interesting 🥰
I know pistachios are originally from there.
@secretFriend2402
Damn that's a fun fact. Thanks for sharing. Pistachios are also pretty expensive here.
Here too. I wonder why?
@jesusredeemedme2425
According to this article-
- Pistachios Only Grow In A Few Places
- Pistachio Trees Take A Long Time to Mature
- Individual Trees Don’t Produce Many Nuts
- Peak Production Is Only Every Other Year
- Labor-intensive crop

Gaz (گز) is a traditional Iranian nougat from Isfahan, a sweet confection made from egg whites, sugar, rosewater, and nuts like pistachios or almonds, known for its soft, chewy texture and delicate flavor, often collected from a specific plant sap, but now commonly made with sugar substitutes. It's a popular souvenir and gift, considered a symbol of Iranian hospitality, similar to nougat or chikki but with distinct Persian ingredients.
I had also been to a dry fruits store recently where I saw an Iranian sweet made with camel milk. But I really can't imagine consuming camel milk or its products. 😭
Pictures please <3
Wonder what camel milk tastes like? I mean… They're just huge awkward cows XD
@jesusredeemedme2425
Camel milk, not sure about that 🤢😂💚
@jesusredeemedme2425
Salty-sweet according to Google 😵💫
@trueconfidant123
:o even i don't know which product you're referring to on the last line hahaha
@daydreammemories
The shopkeeper didn't mention the name so I've no idea.
Faloodeh: Persia’s Frozen Treasure
Long before ice cream became a global favorite, Persians were enjoying Faloodeh — a refreshing frozen dessert made from thin rice noodles, rosewater, lime juice, and crushed ice. Light, fragrant, and perfectly cooling, Faloodeh is the ideal finish to a rich Persian meal.
This centuries-old treat dates back to ancient Shiraz, where it was considered a delicacy among Persian nobles. Its unique texture — somewhere between a sorbet and slush — makes it one of the most fascinating desserts in Middle Eastern cuisine.
For a modern twist, many enjoy Faloodeh topped with saffron syrup or a scoop of creamy Persian ice cream (bastani sonnati) for an extra indulgence.

@jesusredeemedme2425
I did not know it had anything to do with Iran. I have eaten falooda alone as well as with Kulfi. Although I'm not a fan of it, it tastes yum. The texture is similar to slimy noodles.
@trueconfidant123 Slimy noodles 😅
@mytwistedsoul
I don't know how to describe it lol
@jesusredeemedme2425
Hmmm, i guess these aren't particularly food. but they're my favorite
Reshteh khoshkar is the traditional cookie. It is made of rice flour, and filled with sugar, ground walnuts or hazelnuts, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and spice, fried in hot oil or fat. Made of rice flour, wheat flour, sugar, almonds, walnuts, and cinnamon, it is slowly fried in oil.
for some reason i can't insert pictures though, my network is weak xd
Sounds interesting
