When I went to Poland, the thing that stood out for me, was they liked a hard boiled egg in their soup, I never had that! And they liked continental breakfasts, like cheeses, and salami, and hams, but me, I'm bacon and eggs, and sausages kind of girl 😁 In Poland, I also ate bacon from an actual roasted pig, on a spitfire, a first and last 💚

This one should be my bag, but despite growing up with Polish culture a bit, I actually grew up with German food more.
Though, there were golabkis (it's pronounced kinda like... Gwomp-keys). Those are cabbage rolls filled with meat and rice, and sitting in a tomato sauce. I kind of like them, but I'm used to them tasting a little bland.
There were also pierogis, which were my favorite. They're dumplings, and I've only had them filled with sausage or potato/cheese, but there are other variations too. We usually had those served with diced onions and broccoli.
I tried a plethora of other Polish food a couple of times, and I didn't like any of the other stuff. 😅 At least at the time. I'd give an account, but I don't really remember.
