Books on Color

Hi friends. I have experienced some problems due to my skin color and I'd like to learn more about people's experiences with it. Can anyone recommend books (fiction or non fiction) on this subject?

@Creamyyy

I'm so sorry for that. Two books I know that touch on this are "The Hate U Give" By Angie Thomas and one of my all time favorite where I relate a lot to as a poc is "A Xicana Codex of Changing Consciousness" By Cherrie Moraga. This one is non-fiction and discusses a lot of intersectionality issue as well!💜

Hi! If you’re still looking for recommendations, I’d say The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison, Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, and A Step From Heaven by An Na for fiction. Bowman’s Store by Joseph Bruchac is a wonderful memoir (and Native American authors are often under appreciated in literature).
