If you ask me, I can speak in English, Bengali, Hindi, Malay, Spanish and a bit of Turkish too..

I'm fluent in Dutch (my native language) and English. I'm learning German and Spanish and I'm doing pretty well in both of them. I know some French but probably just enough to ask where the bathrooms are and order 'un pain'. Oh and I can ask if they maybe speak English 
I'd love to improve my Spanish more and maybe learn some Italian with it. I'm also really interested in learning languages outside of Europe like Mandarin Chinese or an African language like Swahili.

hey :) i speak german fluent (native language), english and a bit french. (i also learned latin at school but i am horrible at it :D)

Italian is my native language, but I've started studying English in elementary school (or even before... my grandma says that when I was very little my aunt, who teaches English at a high school, talked to me in English and I was able to answer her, so I don't really know) and kept studying it until university (but I watch a lot of movies and tv series in English with English subtitles, so I'm constantly praticing it), then in middle school I started studying Spanish (which I also kpt studying at university), in high school I studied French for five years (but I had a teacher so bad that I'm not really able to have a conversation in French), and in university I tool German classes for a year because I had the chance to study a third foreign language but I didn't want to re-learn French.
@nyagaroxas So you are in touch with a lot of languages, I see.. :)
@YourFriendforever yes I've always loved languages... I have a collection of how to say 'thank you' in more than 10 languages!

That's awesome. If I have kids, I hope I can have them exposed to two languages consistantly like you. As an adult, your third language is surely more effort, but it makes a succesful conversation so much sweeter.
@DapperDanMan37 Yes having kids exposed to many languages since a young age is great! Especially now, with the English language becoming more and more requested when finding a job. The English I was exposed to when I was a child was not much, but it was enough for me to fall in love with the language. My aunt used to tell me some very basic expressions at times (hello, good morning, goodbye...), but I also had a collection of VHS that taught English to children using parts of Disney cartoons. I loved Disney, but I also loved learning English in that way, so I kept studying the language, until I reached the top level (C2) thanks to university!

It has been not too simple, nor too complicated. I've been studying something that I liked, so my learning process has never been too hard, but it's never simple to study a language so different from your native language (Italian).

Brazilian Portuguese is my native language but I'm also fluent in English (I'm actually gonna start teaching) and know a bit of Spanish

I only speak English fluently but I can get my meaning across in French, and I speak little bits of Italian and Ukrainian

I'm fluent in German (native language) and English, but I'm also currently learning Finnish, because I'm gonna move to Finland next year.
There are so many languages that I wanna learn to speak in later on, but now I gotta concentrate on learning Finnish, hehe.
