Orlando Nightclub Tragedy - Discussion & Support

What has occurred in orlando is really sad, I didn't think such a thing would happen just an hour's drive from my home. Earlier this week I joined a vigil. May their souls find the light. And may those who still live find acceptance and peace among the living.

As DuckDuckGo has pointed out, there are other killings going on everyday. There are alot of souls that need to find the light, and a lot of families that need freedom from tyranny. But just because one killing is done to "rich" people, doesn't mean it's less or more important than other tragic events. For me, it brings similar events closer to home. It makes me realize that people need help not just across the world, but right here in my community. And I hope that over the course of my life, I can help both those far from where I live now, and close to where I live now.

For those in the LBGT+ Community, know that there are many who love and support you, who want you to have safe places to go on a date with your loved one, to have drag-king and drag-queen parties with, to have a wholesome quality of life. Those places will be created. Those places will be protected. Because there are those who care.

What happened was absolutely Horrible , i am at a loss for words really , My support and prayers go out to the victims and the families who lost their loved ones , Not only in Orlando but also to the families who lose their loved ones everyday in Syria , Sadly no one gives a damn about Syria !

I'm so proud of my city coming together in love after such a horrible tragedy. We are stronger than hate.

my oldest brother passed away in the orlando shooting. he was my best friend, my role model, and pretty much the only person who listened to me around here. it makes me feel absolutley awful someone will hurt a child. he was still a child. he just started college, he got a disney intership he wanted to be a vetenarian he wanted to help make the world a better place. i didn't just loose a family member i lost my mentor, my best friend, and my role model. it seems so unreal, just a few days ago we were binge watching grey's anatomy how can he actually be gone? i never believed in an after life, but i hope where ever he is he can be in peace. Sad to see media turn this into a guns debate instead of honoring those lost and recognizing this as an act of terrorism towards the LGTBQ+ community...​

Well it's messed up.Even the most loving people died.Gay people should be treated the same as straight or any other people.This is really messed up.

My heart is with them and with all the LGTB community! I hope their families get to be one day good although they are without their beautiful ones... I'm praying for u all ! I'm so sad..
