We don't celebrate but my parents liked to give me some practical presents, like socks or something lol.
When I was really little, they bought a baby fake tree with cute ornaments.

I would like chocolate chip ice cream cookies.

we always had xmas dinner super early at my parents house growing up. it's pretty lowkey since my siblings and I don't have any kids it's literally just 7 of us eating xmas dinner at like 1 in the afternoon lol

it was decent but I didn't enjoy it at all. both siblings had to work. I struggled badly with my depression and cried throughout the day but held it together pretty well and no one suspected a thing. I felt like an after thought. I had a rough night and I want to cut so bad right now but I'm trying hard to stay clean. yesterday was my birthday. I turned 29 and my father since I've been an adult has not remembered or told me happy birthday. No one else remembered so I just tried to ignore my feelings about it. we had dinner and I opened gifts. I decided I was gonna do a solo celebration after the holiday and celebrate in my own time and in my own way. it'll sort of be my way of a birthday do over.
I am so sorry. That does sound like a very rough day. Everyone deserves to have their birthday recognized.

I postponed horseback riding for the spring of 2022. I want to go on a trail ride when it's nice and warm. I also plan on getting my 2nd ear piercing this week, going out for brunch solo tomorrow and to the bookstore. not sure what else to do but I wanna do so much more. these past few years have been so shitty that I want a longer celebration than normal. I just wanna put myself as a priority for once in my life. I always think of others before I think of myself. I need to put myself first.
Yes, you putting yourself first is key. What others do isn't nearly as important. I love the idea of the piercing and the bookstore and spreading out doing things that celebrate you into the spring. Buy yourself some books to read or get something from the library. Reading is part of caring for you. I know that I struggle with this sometimes too. This year I am focusing on taking a daily picture of my life. I am not sure I will be able to keep it up, but I want to try to focus on positive moments. @BrokenAngelxx

1. Christmas was magical for me as a kid. I wish that everyone got to experience that in their childhood. There was so much warmth, togetherness, and of course, gifts.
2. Chocolate chip or maple cookies. Or maple chocolate cookies. Even Christmas sugar cookies.
3. Hmm three things...
A. I've beaten Super Mario World with a perfect completion file without dying once... And I have a witness!
B. I have several cassette tapes from childhood where me and my friends recorded random stuff. The quality might vary at this point.
C. I used to bug my mom to go driving on cloudy/overcast weekend days. I liked to look out the window with my schnauzer while eating popcorn or french fries.
