What do you hate about yourself?
Depression is bizarre in how in alters the way we think. We may know logically that it is our depression making us think this way but knowing that doesn't invalidate it. So write down what exactly you hate about yourself, let it all out. Once you do look back at what you wrote. Hopefully documenting your thought process will make it easier to work through your issues. Plus we will all be here to help.
I hate that so much of my self worth is determined by what others think.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and you minds in Christ Jesus.
(My go too verse. Im not sure what religion you are but hopefully this helps ❤️)
I hate the part of myself that gets so easily convinced by whatever irrational thoughts are on my mind at the time. It WILL get better, dont listen to what your head tells you. You CAN do this, dont get it make you think you cant. That part of me takes so much strength to convince that its okay and its going to be okay, but as a part of me it should trust me and not the dark moods i find myself in sometimes.
My inability to open up with people and build strong relationships.
I hate myself for being anxious and a depressed little teen. I hate my scars, i hate myself for always being the reason of bad happenings in our family. I hate myself for trusting people so easily. I hate myself for changing.
@Imamisfit09
i hate myself for all those reasons and more like:
*making my sister have nightmares
*easily getting tricked by boys who just want my money
*and etc.
That I struggle with depression & anxiety 😞 I try my best to get out of it and its been a challenge. Ive been through so much in life. Depression started just because I love someone so much and they decided to break my heart twice and said hurtful things to me. Because of the love I have I couldnt say anything mean to this person. 5 years together and he did me so wrong with all the hurt and being so cold towards me. Then my parents dont really support me its always shake it off

hi, I can see by your post you have been hurt deeply. Please draw comfort that most of us have been hurt too. It will pass but might take sometime. Time it is true, a great healer. I have been on my own ten years and probably will never trust again. But the hurt has subsided and I now have peace. Wishing you all the best.
I hate how insecure I am and how it affects my relationship. I hate how I feel I'm never good enough.
The depression and axiety.
I want to be social and meet cool people with similar interests yet I hate being around people. I want to have that connection of trust with others from serious talks to goofy jokes while playing games. Yet I always expect people to backstab me or take advantage of me. Even if someone does try to connect, I sever it quickly or make excuses to avoid them because I know I can't trust them.
If I stay in my shell, the loneliness eats away at me slowly. but if I leave my shell, I get so anxious and confused that it causes physical pain. massive headaches, Trouble breathing, shooting pain through my left hand, ect. It's affected me enough that I had quit a few jobs because of it.
That I'm so indecisive. Not just the typical 'what to eat' or 'what movie to watch'. I don't know where I am, where I want to be, nor how to get there even if I did. What do I want out of life? What is obtainable for someone like me? so many questions all branching off. Something as simple as a face to face conversation. 'Should I say this or that?' 'How would they respond if I said this?' 'how would they respond if I said that?' How should I reply if they respond positive to this? How should I reply if they respond negative to this? How should I reply if they respond positive to that? How should I reply if they resond negative to that? - The questions just keep branching off and I can't help it. It doesn't stop. Then throw in all the other typical worries like your image. from body language to how you sound and everything else. IT NEVER STOPS.
So I stay away from people. Being alone is the only time those branching thoughts are reduced. I hate it. I hate me.
@ImpactAura
Your not alone in your thoughts! I have the same problem with experiences with people that come in and out of my life. Its hard to deny your own social needs but if you venture out someone will abuse your trust and do something horrid to you. The posts on here all read that they hate themselves. I dont hate myself, I know I am a decent person. I am kind and considerate and wish people well. I say to you to be positive and wish you well.
@ImpactAura
not giving myself a chance to try (something unknown/new)
I hate that i can't be happy even though I have so much to be happy about. I hate that I am an emotional eater. I hate that I am quirky because no one takes me seriously. I just want to be normal.
