Question for all the men out there
tw: mental health
Does it make a girl less attractive or undatable to be mentally/emotionally unstable? Like crying a lot, constantly apologizing, being mad one second but the next apologizing etc.
Also would you date or love a girl like that? Would you help her heal?
Simple answer is no.
To the wrong person maybe it does but I think you'd need to take that time and find someone capable of understanding what makes you feel "unstable" or "undatable". The right person will understand, and accept you for such things and will help you overcome or at least help you accept the things you feel. It's all about progression, isn't it?
And yes, people like that do exist, there are people out there who are willing to take time to understand you and help you get back on your feet. You have to learn to convey your emotions to your partner in a healthy way. When you find the right person, this will come naturally and they will instinctively want to "sit in the mud" with you.
Don't be discouraged, keep at it. You're doing great!
@LunaMothx I know that I'm not the answer-er that you were looking for, because I'm a bisexual girl but in my honest opinion, I would not date a female that is emotionally unstable. I have issues going on with myself and having a partner that isn't emotionally there for me is too much.
It's also extremely unattractive when a girl is does that. Of course, if I was your friend I would help you but being a partner is off the table.
I'm assuming you made this question because you're straight but I still feel as if my input has value so think of me as a man, if that makes you more comfortable.
I understand, you’re right as much as it hurts me…. All i did was cry whenever we would argue, and sometimes would be mad or have outbursts, but i WAS there for him whenever he needed me though, as unstable as i was with postpartum depression, i really tried to recover and stop but i failed miserably..
To me no it doesn’t make her less attractive or Would make me less likely to want to date her, I Would just make sure to be more patient and understanding of her needs. Have a good day 😊
I think most people (99.99%) can not handle such instability even if they say they can handle it. People get into relationship to find happiness and companionship.
I think one key here though that people haven't been pointing out is that being emotionally unstable at the moment doesn't make you unlovable. You are still a beautiful person in spite of any mental illness. But it starts by figuring out how to love yourself.
How are you doing on that front and how can we help?@LunaMothx
Yeah I don’t love myself at all…. I have to learn that.. but i really did try to become better for him but i failed miserably..
What about becoming better just for you? What would that look like? @LunaMothx
My personal experience is that most of the girls, leaves when they got healed up after broken.
@LunaMothx For me, it depends on how severe it is. and if they aren't willing to solve this problem and just live with it.
I have been in a romantic relationship with someone who uses to be emotionally unstable. My ex, she would be so mad one moment and later cool down. But she would use strong words and abuse me when she's mad. Later, she will cool down. Sometimes she feels bad for being rude and feels she could have handled it better. Many times she just feels that she is many things but not a kind person and she chooses to be bitter, straight forward, unapologetic for her behaviour (which she usually thinks is right) and apologises when she feels she's in the wrong, which is rare
Does this all make her un-attractive / un-dateable? Yes, for me it does make her hard to date, because sometimes it can be too much. Especially when the girl is not going to therapy too
Too many fights, too many problems, are a clear bad sign 🛑 / red flag 🚩. Too many fights / too many problems is very possible when someone is emotionally unstable
Yeah, that’s why i 100% blame myself for him cheating on me and leaving…. I’m sure i got him overwhelmed.. i really did try to be better though i really did.. but i failed so hard.. and i feel sooo guilty every single day and mad with myself because i lost a great man for being such a crybaby and with my anger issues, i guess it all went downhill when i got pregnant and gave birth that’s when i lost control..
i am not a fan of toxic masculinity. I am a feminist male, and we are humans all along. Being “macho manly” is overrated, and being a kind human deserves more spotlight.
@LunaMothx
The only right answer is no. Having emotional trauma or even just being emotional does not make someone undesirable. If you fall in love with someone or get with someone you get will ALL of them. Which means if they don't support you or want you for having trauma or issues, *** them their morons and don't deserve you.
