One thing that is contributing to my depression is....
At first, it was because I lost someone that means a lot to me. Then it was my school pressure, there's also my mental illness. And suddenly it felt like everything is the reason.
@xxCharxx I am very sorry about your loss. There are so many things nowadays that can make us feel so low and hopeless. One important thing to remember is that you are not alone, even if you feel so. That's why we have such great communities like this to help each other. :) Stay strong!
Not having my job, which was a huge passion of mine. Losing the love of my life... due to my mental health issues. Now it's family issues, I feel like it's my family vs me. It's so hurtful for them to not understand me sometimes when I try to be there for my whole family. I wouldn't mind just... disappearing at this point.
One thing that is contributing to my depression would be school stress. I have been assigned so many assignments, and I am working on the 30-hour Driver's Ed program which is only adding to my stress. I am trying to stay positive about my situation and reaching out to others when I need support.
The uncertainty of the covid crisis- so many out of work- everythiing shut down. then of course the possibility of people i love getting sick- let alone myself.
After having been unemployed for awhile I landed my dream job this year. I was in love and my whole life was finally going to change. Then this virus happened and my job went away and my love and I are breaking up. This is devastating. Like others have said, it feels like the Universe is playing a cruel joke. It's so hard to keep pushing through all of this.
@independentPlace3911 Job stress. fear of losing job because I am only income for family of 4, but job is utterly miserable. Trapped at 36
@independentPlace3911 I can relate. Lost my job after 15yrs and I am lost, scared, worried, alone. Anxiety and depression are at an all time high. I only get out of bed to shower. Sending hugs to you 💛.
No one cares how I feel.
@dancinggirl2 hey it's okay! This happens when everyone around is too absorbed in their own lives or perhaps they are like that. Either way this will not last long. They'll come around.. Or you'll meet others who actually care :)
@communicativeCherry3686, Thank you so much.
I would say school and family.
The expectations of others. My family expects me to be intelligent like my mother and father. I'm not as smart as them or skilled as them! My work expects me to be able to be in control, always have an ever knowing answer. I'm not that good I was just trying my best and seeing if I was fit for the position! People develop their opinions and expect you to match that. Even if that isn't you...instead they just think. You are this but...you aren't, I'm not. There is so much more and less to me...and the expectations they just...send me into the darkest of places.
Hey @perpetualfear
I get that! Everyone expects me to act like others, but I'm not that person. I hate being compared to because it makes me feel like I'm less than and just a bad person in general. I hate that feeling, and it makes me feel even worse about myself. I already have a hard time feeling proud of/ happy with myself, and this just makes it worse. Know your not alone! I'm here for you.
I think it's the uncertainty in the world today. Covid 19 and the stay at home orders have forced me to see things I didn't want to see, or didn't have time to see. Now I must accept both the uncertainty and need to the make some life changes. Changes I don't yet know how to make. But, I am searching for the skills and tools, and fighting to find my path to happiness. THX Be safe and well.
My social anxiety is a direct factor of my depression being as bad as it is. I have almost no friends, because I'm took scared to talk to people and it's making my depression ten times worse right now.
Hey @meredithgabrielle
You can always talk to me. I only have one friend, and this year, people who I thought were my friends stopped talking to me almost entirely. I have a harder time getting friends than most others, so I'm also afraid to go up to people these days. I hope that you aren't afraid to talk to me. By the way, my social life is also making me feel more depressed, so I understand. I feel like a really horrible person that nobody likes.
@PenguinLovingPotato I like you !
@meredithgabrielle I'd love to be your friend💛.
