Powerless. I will refuse to feed it. The negativity in my mind, and the inner critic has been right less than 3% of the time it offers advice. All complaints now go through a validity filter, and most of it is BS.

@Meowcenary182

It's very horrific for many. So many people don't know how to deal with it. Many people do and it is still very horrifying. There are many ways to deal with depression and make it not as bad. One is distraction and exercising.

@imsorryitry thank you! I hope many people read this :) I have many fabulous coping skills and a great support system! You are correct though, getting out in that fresh air is huge!! Even when you learn what's going on it will never cease being horrific!

What are some of the characteristics of you depression that makes it heavy? Depression to me can be heavy by the severity of it. How bad it affects you. If it affects you everyday life.

@imsorryitry

I agree with you fully. For me, I think just the way it is always there, pushing you down. It's a burden that you carry that stops you from doing simple activities and makes the world around you seem heavy. It weighs on your mind, makes you feel worthless and weak. I don't know if that makes sense at all, but that's how I see it.

@Emmur

It can be very manipulative. It can make you do things you don't want to do and in the end you don't notice it till its too bad.
