Shattered inside
It's all started when my father died on 24 April and I have been feeling internally shattered. I always blame myself for his death because I didn't check his Sugar Level that day. My another mother also died the previous day so it was already a shock to me and then my died next day which left me shattered inside. My real mom is alive and I know that she is doing her best to push things back to normal and make us successful.
I have actually gotten in love with this girl who is dealing with PTSD and she had been sexually assaulted before. I really wanna help her and be with her. The problem is that she doesn't communicate to me and doesn't share with me much because of her triggers and it makes me kill inside my body.
I don't know why am I feeling that way. I'm always pushing her away even though she is saying that she is going through alot and she will tell me everything and want me to stay.
I feel like I'm toxic now.
Can anyone please help me, I need help😔
Hi, Thanks for sharing. I'm really sorry for what you are going through. I think you are a really amazing person. You've been through so much and you want to help others who are suffering. Please do not give up. The world needs light. I can't give any advice since I am not a professional. I just wanted you to know that you are heard, and you are not alone. And please feel free to watch this video for encouragement: https://youtu.be/6a1p1_jzM14

Hi--that must have been crushing to lose both your dad and your other mom in such a short period of time. And even more so to feel guilty or like there was something you might have been able to do to prevent your father's death.
Here's a resource I was able to find that has some tips for being in a relationship with someone who has PTSD.
https://www.helpguide.org/articles/ptsd-trauma/helping-someone-with-ptsd.htm
I skimmed through and just summarizing some things that jumped out for me that I liked:
- People with PTSD don't necessarily always feel comfortable talking about their experiences since even just thinking about it at all can be really scary
- It's okay to take care of yourself, and the more you're able to care for yourself the more you'll be able to support her
- Be patient with the fact that she is probably going through an awful lot
- Just listening and being empathetic can go a long way; you don't have to solve anything
- Talk with her and ask if there's anything you can do that would help with her feeling safe
- Discuss how she would like you to respond if she gets into a situation where she's panicking or feeling really bad because of a trigger
- Encourage her to seek therapy if she wants to, if she isn't already seeking it

Hey there!
I'm sorry to hear you've been struggling like this. Quiet has already given the perfect answer but I wanted to add: Perhaps you'd like to sign out of your listener account if you're not available to help out and log back in as a member to make you get to talk about what's on your mind? You deserve to be helped too!
Best, x.
Sometimes we need time to heal before we can help someone else we love. You have been through alot and the same goes for her. Give it some time. Remember time fixes everything.
