How do you prepare for a bad day?

Hiya Everyone,

If you know or feel you're going to have a bad day.. how do you prepare?

Normally I:-

🌟 Warn people and make sure I have somebody to vent to after/during that bad day.

🌟 Try to ease the problem which will make it a bad day.

🌟 Plan something lovely to do in the evening! That way there is something to look forward to.

What about you?

@blossombreathe I will perhaps just tell myself to calm down and also imagine the entire scenario in my head first. By doing so, I will perhaps be better prepared.

If I already know that I will be having a bad day, I will internally:

1. Accept that I will be having one and accept any situations that my arrive in all of my senses: emotionally, physically, spiritually.

2. Have instense mindfulness in every situation during the day, to feel the situations that will feed into my thoughts and which thoughts I will feed in order to accomplish my goal of lessening the impact of a bad day (at least for me and maybe perhaps for everyone).

3. Be prepared to respond to the situation and likewise being prepared to acknowledge the response to my response, if you may. And do something with the response(s) to again accomplish the foal of lessening the impact of a bad day.

You know, I want to follow my own advice sometimes I fail hahahaha!! This is what I am working with the hopes that it will help me in any situation.

@KnocktournalMonkey

Accepting situations is amazing because you let it happen instead of desperately pushing emotions away. It's amazing to hear that you use mindfulness to help you out! I can understand that you try to lessen the impact of a bad day a lot, which will help you out a lot on the actual day!!

Aha! Yes, you need to follow these wonderful answers next time you feel like you're going to have a bad day. Thank you for sharing, I gained a lot of useful tips from your post!! I hope you have a lovely day whatever you're up to.

Keep smiling and stay strong!!

Ah okay, so you try to put the day off as much as possible? Would you say that helps you before and on a bad day? *huggles* laughheart

@blossombreathe

This is a wonderful post, and a great idea!! heart

I prepare by thinking about the day, planning things to distract me from the thing that is causing the bad day, and as you said, plan something fun for the evening!! wink

Have a wonderful rest of your week! smiley

@PassionatePeyton

Distraction is a very good way to not think and obsess about that particular bad day. I also like to remember: "It's just a bad day, not a bad life." Planning something is also a good way to try and be positive about things.

Thank you for sharing! I hope you have a lovely day. *huggles* laughheart

If I have the feeling that my day is going to be bad, I make sure to keep my notebook close to me and write everything down that I think could help me distract from the situation.

In the evening I will then use the things I wrote down to write a short fictional story.

@FantasyChapters

That is amazing! You use writing to get all negative emotions and thoughts out and in the evening write a fictional story about them. Thank you for sharing! Wishing you all the best. *huggles* laughheart

You don't 'prepare' for a bad day...if everyone had the chance I think they'd just stop it completely right?

Aha I know what you mean. cheeky But if you had a horrible day in terms of school lessons or a meeting which you knew would make your day awful, what you would do then! Wishing you the best! *huggles* laughheart

Hmm. If I know I'm gonna have a bad day, I

🔹cancel any tasks that are not obligatory

🔹try to stock up on comfort foods and charge my devices for prolonged entertainment

🔹reach out to friends who will listen

🔹 sleep as much as possible because I hate being in a bad mood

@Shadeshack

That's awesome!! Cancelling a few tasks which aren't obligatory can really be helpful. Also using self-care to lessen the badness in your day. And reaching out to friends who will listen is wonderful, that way you have somebody who can empathise with your situation. Some aamzing ideas there, thank you for sharing!

I hope you have a lovely day. *huggles* Stay strong!

I will try to plan and see if there's anything I can do to make the issue better or more bearable, and to prepare myself for when it comes.
