How has depression affected your sleep habit?
Depression can have serious and mild affects in our sleeping patterns or habit.
How has depression affected your sleep pattern or habit?
Will love to hear from you
For me it doesnt matter how tired I am or what time I get into bed, as soon as I try to get to sleep I get very antsy and my mind starts racing. So many people have told me to take melatonin, but when I do that I will fall asleep for only an hour and then be wide awake for the rest of the night. When the depression is really bad I am lucky to get a full two hours of sleep.
I sleep one night and then don't sleep the next 😰😅
As of recent... my sleep patterns has been getting weirder.
Except the only intermittent wake-ups (hourly or bi-hourly or tri-hourly) toilet breaks/sips of water
I have been starting to lose energy and sleep eariler.
Worse off, i started waking up eariler. (although i kinda liked the wee hours, where there is no one "awake", you get to roam around the house do whatever you want, without surviliance)
But not sure if it is a good idea or bad idea as i am slipping off from general public/people/family kind of thing.
Even meal times are going way crazy...
sometimes i sleep 14 hours and sometimes just 3

me too. I wish I could just get back to a normal sleep schedule but my body is so tired.
@debb75
Same here <3
I didnt sleep at all last night .
Ever since my depression decided to punch me back full swing last year, sleep has been awful. I either sleep waaaay too long, like 13 hours, or not at all. And believe me when I say I've tried pretty much everything to help. None of it works. I miss the days when I didn't have to worry if I'll have to wear extra concealer the next day because I look like I haven't slept in years.
I feel this post so much. I also go back and forth between the extremes of oversleeping and bouts of insomnia.@DyingPetals
I stay up almost all night and sleepy during the day
What is sleep?
@Tinycupcake maybe it
@SailingFox Lol this app doesn't work
@Tinycupcake haha it sure doesn
I kind of look forward to the days that I don't have to work, so I can catch up on my sleep by not getting out of bed. Most of the time I am lucky if I get 45 min or even an hour of sleep here and there. When I am off I can manage to get 4 or maybe even 5 hours of sleep.
i wonder if all the anxiety, depression, eating disorder, thoughts, worries are giving all the headaches while sleeping...
so irritating... have been on paracetomols lately... hiaz.
