I hate when I'm told to just keep doing presentations so that I could feel better about them and get rid of the worry.

I've already done that. All that's happened is that I got worse.

They say that I'll do fine.

They've never had panic attacks before so why would they tell me how'll my brain will react?

A friend left me today by blaming I didn't make progress mentally for so long a time.

I feel so sad. I've tried to get better. I just can't make so huge progress. Why I deserve this.

I am so heart-broken.

I feel you. But don't take it personally. It is their loss and it's on them for leaving. Wait for friends that are worth you and willing to be patient with the progress. @VodG

@VodG Honestly such people disappoint me in general. If I see a friend in need of support, I stick to their side. I know how important it is. Friendship isn't about being there just to get something back. Your friend was waiting for the good times to come back instead your "never ending episodes and drama"
You are going to get better. And you are going to pull through. And you are going to be a great person.

In my opinion, I think you gained something. You got a wake up call to check your mental health progress and see how you can make yourself feel better. And you got rid of a senseless, bad friend.

Friends don't wait for someone to give them back. They give because they care and because they WANT to be there. Anyone who does anything else is just another person in your life.

I'm really sorry for your pain though. I've been through so many "friends" and I'm telling you it gets better and it teaches you eventually. Just don't think you're anything less than you are. You are so strong to still be battling and surviving and pushing yourself day by day. Don't let ANYTHING or ANYONE convince you otherwise.

Stay beautiful.

@Miraimaged Thank you for these words... I dont know how to say. I decided to cut connection with this friend today. Maybe what you said is true, its not true friend.

But at the same time, I pushed another friend away... ‘cuz I misstrusted him and accused him for not opening up. And I got attached to him. He left me forever too. I felt sad and sorrow. I dont know why I cant maintain my frienships. Now I only have one friend left. I dont know what I can do. Feel life is so hard..

@VodG I recently had a friend leave me and its the worst pain Ive ever felt. Im so sorry that youre going through this but that is not a true friend anyway, and at least you get to see that now and learn from this experience. You will learn and grow and you will heal from this, just take it day by day. Im still struggling to get over the loss of my friendship months later, so dont think that you have to be over it any time soon, just hang in there and let yourself heal, you will be okay ❤️

@diligentBirch8114 My important friend left me too 12 days ago on Oct 25. I still feel painful and my heart still shrinks. It was the worst day ever in my life. I feel you pain too. Im struggling too. I dont know if I can get over it. I thought I felt better after 12 days. But today the pain relapsed. Have we made the wrong friends? Or its our fault?

@VodG maybe we did make the wrong friends and didnt see it until it was too late, but it is not our fault. People leave because of their own issues, and sometimes there mightve been something we did that pushed them away and we do have to take responsibility for that, but then we have to forgive ourselves and learn from it and do better next time. I do think everything happens for a reason, and everyone enters and leaves our lives when theyre meant to. Every person Ive lost has helped me learn and become a much better friend and made me who I am, so just know there is a silver lining and a purpose to all this pain. I never thought I would be okay without this friend that I lost, but months later I am slowly becoming okay. Dont be afraid to talk to people about the pain, you might be surprised who will be there for you and grow close with you. The most important thing is to acknowledge the pain for a while, cry over the loss, get out all those emotions, and then try to leave it alone and move on to better things. Hang in there, I know how much this hurts but the pain will ease over time ❤️

@diligentBirch8114 Hey.. Thank you for letting me know about your experience with the loss and the positive attitude... Hope you heal completely one day. If you heal, theres hope. How long has it taken you to get it over? Its Day 13 and I hasnt felt any better. Dont even know the insightful perspectives that you shared with me. I feel Ive been trapped in the pool of desperate and struggling not to sink. May I know what have you tried to cope? I wanted to distract myself, but didnt have any more mental strengh to do other thing... Feel so lost and confused...

@VodG I cried over it pretty much every day for probably three months :/ I still feel sad about it when I I think about it, but I dont cry over it anymore. The thing that helped me the most was opening up to other friends and family and knowing that they understand and are there for me, and them helping me see that she wasnt a good friend, and spending more time with other people. I cried over it a lot and journaled a lot and got angry about it a lot, and Im still sad about it sometimes but Im healing and only feel love for that ex friend now. I try to focus on other stuff like music and school and meditation. Meditation helps a lot if you are able to do that. I think talking about it either in a journal or to someone else or both and feeling the feelings is the most important thing for healing though.

@diligentBirch8114 It seems what you are going through is so much more difficult than my situation. Im sorry to hear that. I cried a lot too in the past few days and I know the bad feeling, but still cant imagine the feeling for crying for 3 months. Thank you for sharing your experience with me. I basically have zero support in my real life now. Only 1 friend left.. and unsupportive family. Dont know to whom else I can open up to, so Im spending my savings to online therapy and thats the only way I can get support and help on this issue. Feels so bitter. But thank you so much for being positive here and for letting me see hope. If you get over it, I think I can too. Thank you. Hope everything goes well.

First a bit of back story :

I was born as a product of rape. My mother raised me with the help of my step father and their mutual families. I was raised to believe that my step dad was my father until I was in the 4th grade when my parents had tried to get it so my step dad could adopt me. My bio-dad wouldnt allow it. And said "over my dead body" in was told he made threats and was coming to kill me, kidnap me, hurt me, hurt my four sisters or my parents, or combination you should shouldn't tell a 4th grader. All around the time Jacob Wetterling went missing 3 years prior. (They found him buried in a field in my hometown 20 some years later) so needless to say I was distracted. I was beaten and pushed around by my parents, blamed for everything that happened. I was treated very poorly by everyone I grew up with in the family (step dad side). All because of who my father was. I was not given a photo or anything but his name.

I moved out when I was 15 due to the one time I faught back against my mother for punching me in the back while having an anxiety attack a ripping my shirt from my back. (Common occurance) I moved into my step father's oldest sister's house. Again not treated very well as I was not their child.

It was here that I started to collect info on how to find my father before he found me. I did. We actually formed a decent relationship for the last 20+ years until he showed his true face. Extremely racist and pulled out all the stops about my mother and how I didnt carry his last name so I must be worthless. I cut him out of my life over 6 months ago.

Come 2 weeks ago I learned I was the subject of a custody battle 6 months after I was born. My mother had given me up for adoption and my father had found out six months later. His parents took my mother to court for custody. My adoption was contingent on my father giving up his rights to me. Since he didnt, my mother was awarded custody. My mothers parents had paid in full for my adoption. I was told by several sources because I was a child of tape and born out of wedlock and they wanted nothing to do with that.

I left a lot of this story out as this was already long enough.

I've always felt like a burden. This new information wasnt the part that spiraled my depression. It was the culmination of everything and this new info just put everything into perspective and I'm not sure how to deal with it.

I don't you should feel like a burden. What happened wasn't your fault. Those people are bad and you should be around people who are nice to you. You deserve to be treated with love and respect. If you want to talk let me know. Or you want a good listener @bellastorm17 if you an adult @musicdruid69.

Reaching out is a great first step. I had the same happened several months ago. Everyday it's getting better but you need to find outlets to progress. Does talking about it help? Does engaging in sports or hobbies help improve your mood and self confidence? @Lea013

@Lea013

When I finally got out of my abusive relationship I felt free yes, but scars were definitely left. To heal, I started doing things for me, things that I enjoyed and hadnt done in ages. I wore whatever clothes I wanted, I did and went where ever I wanted, I was determined to not let what he made me feel I was, define me. Youre better then that and you deserve that. Take time to be alone with yourself to regain your own thoughts and own self. All the best.

2 things - My wife is thinking about leaving me and a job I once enjoyed has turned into a nightmare.

Everyday is agony and I can only see 2 possible directions. Things get better and my wife stays or I end my own suffering. I cant do this.

@PeaceWanted

You have to decide which you value and important in your life. Check if switching job can solve your problem ..is she ok to adjust financially with you or anyway she want to leave you.

I know for male job satisfaction .. Position matter.. It make more happy but these thing don't stay long period.

Dont panic it is very important phase of your life.
