Hiya Everyone,

Depression is a constant thing but when would you say it becomes the toughest for you?

I'd say from around 6pm onwards my depression ups by around 20%.

What about you?

@blossombreathe I have observed that whenever something "unpleasant" / "against my wish happens", my depression rises up a notch. I worry a lot more and become upset for not being Able to control the situation. ...hugs.

Yes, I understand. When something happens against your wishes, you may feel out of control which makes depression rise. *huggles* Thank you for sharing! laugh

Stay strong. heart

@Mrcheeku

I agree with this as well. In a general sense I have it in the mornings the most, especially if I haven't got enough sleep. Anxiety can also be triggered as a result.

I am so stressed out. It's been one and a half year and my ex suddenly decided to text me again and started talking. I just delete her from FB and got rid of her number so I wouldn't have to think about her anymore. I really hate her and now I'm so angry and anxious.

Awh no! I'm so sorry to hear this. Maybe take a nice break. Take a walk, sit by the window and breathe in the fresh air and focus on something else. You'll be okay! heart

@blossombreathe Night time is the hardest for everyone that I know. Maybe it's because I was never alone at night..? Always had a cat or dog beside me..?

@blossombreathe

I'd say it peaks when I go to bed and when I wake up. I have usually clearly the least depression in the late evening before going to bed (a couple hours maybe). I'm the most anxious from waking to 8PM or so and depressed the whole day excluding the couple hours before bed.

@6sincere

When you go to bed and when you wake up. Maybe that has something to do with letting your mind wander? If we haven't anything to think about, our mind can sink into dark places. Stay strong! heart

My depression tends to peak earlier in the week and go down closer to the weekends. I think part of this is because I don't really like my job all that much, so I end up feeling more upset and irritable at the beginning of a work week. The time of day doesn't seem to have an influence as far as I can tell.

It does fluctuate a bit, depending on how busy I am as well. If I have a day off with nothing to do but letting my mind wander, then my depression is more likely to peak, as opposed to keeping myself busy with something.

Ah okay, so as you don't like your job, you find it upsetting and tiring. So later in the week, it decreases. I understand. Depression really can fluctuate, especially after a tough day too! Thank you for sharing, stay strong. heart

@blossombreathe Come to think of it, I find my depression tends to be stronger in the morning because I am dreading/fearing what kind of day I will have, whereas in the evenings I have a sense that "well, I survived the day, so things aren't so bad then!" It definitely fluctuates based on external circumstances (such as whether I have a stressful day at work, who I spend time with, and so forth), but it is generally harder to deal with in the mornings.

@quietDime4559

Ah! That's understandable. In the morning you have lots of worries about the day and may also be dreading the things you have to do. Whereas at nightime you feel like you've "survived the day" Awesome observation, thank you! smileyheart

My depression is also constant. However I think it's at its worst once after 8pm especially during the winter.

My depression comes on in Winter, particularly at night. In fact... it's the only time I am depressed. Seasonal affective disorder (i guess)
