This resource has information to help you understand your suicidal feelings. It talks about how it can come from your mental health problems (depression for example), conflicts with loved ones, financial/ legal problems, medical problems, lack of connections to friends and others, sexual identity issues, and drug/alcohol issues.
It talks about how to deal with suicidal thoughts to try to decrease them. Things you can do according to this resource when you have suicidal thoughts is problem solve, remember the things that have helped you in the past, talk to a trusted friend, family member, or professional, think of reasons for living, do the opposite of how you feel.
Ways that you can try to decrease the chances you feel suicidal in the future are by getting professional support, finding structure and routine, identify high-risk triggers or situations, practice self-care, do things you enjoy, think of personal goals, and follow through with prescribed medications.

And you want to know what the f**ked up thing is? Knowing I have two daughters that need me around. My oldest one knows about the thoughts and has said something to my family.
