Hi everyone,

I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself. Its been getting harder to deal with my depression alone, so I figured I would give this place a try. Hope to be helpful as well.

Nice meeting you all

@nevergiveupneverbackdown - Hi and welcome! Sometimes just talking can help, sometimes we can pick up new clues, or techniques to help us manage this daily struggle, sometimes we can find someone else who we relate to and feel less alone, less isolated, less self-critical, less impossible, less exhausted. There is no quick fix for mental illnesses, including depression, but you're not alone. Recovery is in itself an exhausting, jagged line, and each of us can learn how to manage at our own pace. Just by posting and trying, you are already taking steps towards managing, you are trying something, that's great. Of course, different things will help different people. If it turns out that you don't think this is right for you, that's okay too! Know that 7cups has other resources other than forums, that there are other options besides 7cups out there too, and that something is surely out there for you so long as you dont give up on the possibility altogether. Keep trying to reach out and keep looking. Hope to see you around and wish you the best of luck on your search.

My name is Christina. I've been dealing with my depression for 25 years. I'm 28 and alone most of the time. I live with one other person. But they work alot and atm I don't. Interested in getting an emotional support animal soon. Having a hard time looking for puppys that aren't internet scams. I'm newer to 7cups. And brand new to the community of 7cups. Still somewhat confused but learning with time. 😊 I'm a great listener. And I'm usually an artist but atm I'm down and out with a block of some sort so no art is being produced yet. Hope you all are feeling good.

@Stinaoh88 - Welcome, Christina. Living someone when our schedules aren't aligned well can be difficult, and being alone a lot can definitely exasperate our depression. An emotional support animal is a great idea, good luck on your goal! It sounds like you have already done a lot of research, which is awesome! We never really stop learning, we're all growing and discovering something new, glad to you have you here learning with us! Expressing ourselves creatively is an awesome idea! Finding inspiration or motivation to do so can be super diffficult with depression, you're not alone there. Feel free to share some of your past artwork with us in a forum thread if you like! See you around :)
