I'm trying to get information on getting insurance for disability in the US. I don't know what to do. Social Security won't cover me. I have type 1 Bipolar Disorder, and I have had extreme cycling episodes every year, ranging from mania to depression to anxiety and paranoia, and psychosis. Does anyone have information on the process?

I won't be having a job this year or next year until I graduate from my university. (I have had on and off jobs my previous years. And I've also had hospitalizations and missing days because my symptoms turned into crisis).

What kind of insurance can I get? Any suggestions or pointers?

The autistic person who was in the disability support room was not Tigger, but they do have 5 letters in their name.

@tealBear2472

You would need to talk to an insurance professional, I think. They have the training to help with something like that.

@tealBear2472

Often the Department of Health can help you. It is a State Agency.
