@DonaldK. I used to eat corn beef and cabbage on Saint Patrick’s day. It was very good.
@adventurousBranch3786,, traditional irish food, yumm!
@DonaldK
Kind of a sad memory for me but my dad always used to do a bunch of fun stuff with us before he turned abusive. We usually have corned beef and cabbage... a very Irish family despite living in the US. I have pale skin and bright blue eyes. I'm excited for my sister's first St. Patrick's day where she really knows what's going on.
@SystemOfWolves I can empathize with the losing of a parent I lost my dad five years ago this coming April. It's good to remember the good times we always have those with us. If you need one on one I am always here.
@DonaldK
I actually never lost him entirely. My parents divorced and then repressed abuse memories came back. I choose not to speak with him now.
When my health conditions weren't affecting me so much I was a bit of a work hard, play hard type. There were definitely some evenings spent in the snow, jumping around in a long lineup to get inside a pub and then green beer consumed once inside. I have some good memories!
@AffyAvo, I am not much of a drinker but a green beer sounds interesting
@DonaldK, my family is Irish so we spend the day making traditional Irish foods and dancing to music
@DonaldK
With St. Patrick's Day this Friday, what is your favorite St. Patrick's Day memory?
My favorite memory is from college. I remember going on an Irish pub crawl with my best friends from college. We ended up at a pub with Irish dancers and and a traditional Irish band. We danced the night way and had a blast. Some of those friends are gone now, but the memory of dancing a jig and drinking pints of Guinness will remain with me forever. One of my friends met her husband that night lol. And she had a traditional Irish wedding in Ireland which we all attended. What a great memory!! 💚 🍀 🌺
@xandia first of all I have a little bit of Irish in me. We Love Irish music to. Unfortunately my dad is gone but he loved Irish music. Or it might've been Scottish I cannot remember lol. Either way my dad brought me up on culture.
@xandia, that sounds like a wonderful memory! ❤️
