In some parts of the world it's Winter Solstice and is also known for being the 'longest night'. Are you doing anything to recognize this occasion?
If it's not winter where you are, what's happening in your area?
Hey. HMmm My back has been hurting me more often. It's a real pain on top of my depression and anxiety. I have been triggered due to family stress this week and it hasn't been reallly fun
@AffyAvo
@HalliwellSister Sorry to hear it's been a rough week. I'm trying to use this day as a turning point. It has been a hard month and I recognize that. There is joy within the season, the long nights will start to get shorter, there are lights surrounding me celebrating Christmas, I am recovering and there are people in my life to share the joy with.
I hope this can be a turning point for you too.
@AffyAvo
thank you! I am trying to also use the fact that the new year brings new stuff as a way to keep my head up.
Yup, going to bed early
@jr50 That sounds like a really good way to take advantage of the longest night!
@AffyAvo. Thank you
I am in the midwest of the USA and it has been a rough winter already. More than a foot of snow and temperatures in the negatives! Thankfully my husband got a plow this year on his truck, so no snow blowing anymore, just a little shoveling the front sidewalks. lol
@TransAm85 It's been pretty cold some days here, but snow has been fairly typical. I've made my husband do all the shovelling so far this year!
@AffyAvo That's good! I'm used to the snow around this time of year b/c I've lived in this state my whole life. But, my husband decided to ruin our truck and put a plow on it. He has other cars, but I like this truck, even tho it's not new. So he cut up the front bumper for a damn plow. I don't understand men sometimes. At least you have your husband to shovel! It has been 0 to -5 here and a homeless man was on the news this morning b/c he froze to death! So sad ..
