Snow! It can vary so much depending on where you live.

What type of snow do you get where you live? Or do you not get snow at all?

Does the snow (or if you don't have any, then the rain) impact your disability at all?

Do you enjoy it when it snows?

Is there anything you would like support on?

Thanks to @Nightfrost for the inspiration with this post - our experiences with snow are so different!

@AffyAvo

What type of snow do you get where you live? Or do you not get snow at all? It varies by day XD Some days we get snow and other days nothing. Mainly nothing unless a winter storm comes through.

Does the snow (or if you don't have any, then the rain) impact your disability at all? It makes it hard on my nerves as they curl up more and are tighter. Plus walking on the ice is risky with my disabilities.

Do you enjoy it when it snows? I enjoy the snow around the holidays and my birthday but otherwise not a fan

Is there anything you would like support on? I am wrapping up my associates degree this week so just support with pushing through the last finals

no snow here :/

Does the snow (or if you don't have any, then the rain) impact your disability at all?

sometimes rain makes me more miserable (depression), and sometimes it makes my asthma want to flare up

Do you enjoy it when it snows?

*has no snow* I don’t enjoy rain

Is there anything you would like support on?

I’m not very sure 😊

@AffyAvo

I actually believe snow would really set the asthma off :/ but it would be fun to be able to roll in snow to be honest

@blissfulTouch29, I wish snow or rain didn't affect my disability. I am glad it doesn't affect you though!

Here, I get 'dry' snow. The heavy, wet stuff tends to occur more in the spring. The winter small dry flakes aren't as heavy to shovel at the same height. When it's really cold some people describe the snow as squeaky. I see where it comes from but I feel like it's more like a soft crunch, like walking through a pile of dry leaves.

The snow does affect me a bit. My mobility is fairly ok to manage walking short distances in it. Shoveling snow is usually beyond my trigger threshold. Removing snow from a car and walking through it gets exhausting pretty fast and if it's really cold that affects me too.

I find the snow pretty and glad we get some but wish it was for a more limited time period!

In general I just find it hard to balance resting enough while getting things done for this time of year!

@AffyAvo

I agree that the snow is pretty! It would be interesting to see dry snow. I only get wet snow where I am and a winter storm is moving through right now so there is a lot of snow coming down.

I can understand how shoveling or removing snow is difficult as it affects me but I am one of those weirdos that despite it being very hard for me to do I absolutely love shoveling!

@wonderfulRainbow817 Please be careful when shoveling especially with the heavy storm snow! Shoveling injuries are a real thing!

I'm glad you enjoy doing it. If my husband is away or sick sometimes I get the sidewalk done (legally required), if there's more I tend to pay someone to do our driveway. Sometimes we get kids at our door super excited to shovel so will pay them even if we could easily manage it ourselves!
