Yes WeedyGarden, let's hope that pandemia will slow down in 2021!

Congratulations for disability improvement, you and the team made a wonderful job, let's keep on going yes

Interesting perspective to not have resolutions as a...resolution! Souds like a peaceful relaxing approach!

Wishing you a wonderful 2021!

How did 2020 go for you?

Since my Mother in Law died two days before Christmas I just want to get through the rest of the year and for 2020 to end. There was also Covid to deal with. Just a bad year in general.

What did you accomplish the past year?

Got in a lot of time with my Horses this past summer, started taking a music Theory Course and playing guitar again and got accepted to school to get my Bachelor's of Psychology.

What are your hopes for 2021?

That I do good in school and I can move my Horses back home here in the spring.

Do you have an goals or resolutions?

To get good grades in school, see my horses as often as I can and finish my Music Theory Course.

Hi Breezy2013!

This ending year has been challenging, I wish you 2021 will be less upsetting.

You have some projects going on, that's good!

I wish you to achieve all your goals and to enjoy the path to let that happen.

What type of horses do you have? I love the following (I think it's called gypsy horse):

I have an American Bashkir Curley (They are BLM Mustangs that look like they have a perm in the winter, they have a regular hair coat in the spring and summer) and an Appendix Quarter Horse.

How did 2020 go for you?

Like most of us, it was a strange year. I had a person I care about who was in the middle of a hot spot when the virus started. I was sick for six weeks in the spring myself, but before they had tests available. Home delivery for groceries was discontinued in my area during the lockdown because they were overwhelmed. I got creative about getting food via mail order. Many of the people I work with got laid off, and I am grateful I have a job, but it was a scary time.

What did you accomplish the past year?

I learned how to grow my food and how to can food. I learned how to save seeds. I realized that I could grow chickpeas here, and green chickpeas are yummy! I brushed up on preparedness. I learned how to distill water without electricity. I learned about worm bins, I learned about composting and supplementing your soil, but you must do it away from living plants! I learned more than I would have liked to about pests, and I became fond of Neem oil, among other things.

What are your hopes for 2021?

I am setting the bar pretty low. I hope to survive, and I plan to have a big garden again in 2021. I hope to see this community blossom. I am very excited because I think we have a fantastic team!

Do you have goals or resolutions?

I am not planning to make any resolutions. I am leaning more towards accepting things as they are.

@BlindGrapefruit It sounds like you learned a ton over the last year and got through some scary things without too many harmful effects! Hopefully 2021 will be less scary!

@AffyAvo

My 2020 year was considerably the worst ive experienced.

I am a Recovering Addict. Changing my environment has become far more complicated then I ever anticipated. 3 yrs ago I was a happy father of 7 with my own house, partnership in a buisness, associates degree in addictions counselling, and worked with E4C in my focus field of youth at risk as well as maintaining what I thought to be a concrete sobriety for 6 yrs. However one day I found out my Wife was not only cheating on me but also had developed an expensive drug habit. I accepted it took my kids and left to my mom's. Within 2 days I was forced to return my girls and had an EPO filed against me. Due to the EPO I couldnt recieve any legal help, and automatically my mental health took a turn for the worse. Not only was the foundation for my sobriety stripped from me, I felt alone. The system, procedures, even resources that I believed in had been used against me in ways I wouldve never even considered.

Shortly after I relapsed. Many times and spent a year trying everything to maintain employment, my own place, and work with CPS which is where my kids ended up when their mother gave them away to be free. This happened as soon as it was known I had to deal with the EPO prior to having my kids.

I apologize for the long post.. Its overwhelming and that is just the first 3 months.

Im going into 2021 with a determined mindset to not only maintain a far stronger concrete footing in my recovery and sobriety, find supports and process that work for me, but also to change this cycle and stigma of addiction and mental health. I dont want anyone to go through what I had to and be alone like I was.

@Recoveringdad There's nothing wrong with a long post and it sounds like you've been through a lot!

I hope your recovery continues to go well and that the custody situation with your kids gets sorted. It does sound like you've already been making good positive steps to that.
