Body just keeps adding more problems and I just can't be bothered anymore...
So last week started with me being told I have osteopenia, this week iv been told I'm being sent for an MRI scan for my joints (so scared it's osteoarthritis). I'm in some form of discomfort or pain 24/7 (I have a stupidly high pain threshold with some things like breaking bones sometimes) and I just can't be arsed anymore... Like Im sick of my body just deciding to keep giving up on me and adding yet another condition to the list 🙃 like I already have PCOS, IBS and asthma which I struggle with daily and now my joints and bones are deciding not to play ball now... And I got multiple different mental health problems ontop... I just feel like I'm drowning... I'm yet to meet someone who I can talk to and relate too about having so many conditions and I also constantly feel like some of my health problems are my fault... which sucks... Oh and I'm in my early 20s so its literally ruined all my life goals. Like how do you come to terms with your conditions affecting all your life plans..? Sorry I feel like this has been more of a rant than anything 😂 Random question also but to anyone who has had an MRI scan, anyone got any tips to calm the anxiety for it? I'm terrified of getting it done 😅
@CrazyCrochetingCatLady I have many health issues too and yeah it's really hard when they take over at times. Lately I've been pretty down as things have been pretty bad for me.
I've had a few MRIs I'm not claustrophobic so they don't tend to make me anxious. My biggest advice for them is to speak up. If it's for your bones you will likely be started stopped and then skide further up/down and restarted. Let them know if you need a bit of a break. With covid ask if you csn remove your mask inside if that makes you feel better ( I did one this summer with it on). Some people like something to cover thier eyes and some request a mirror to make it seem more open. Biggest issue I would say is just getting stiff. Try to get through each session while running as if you stop it will just prolong the time. Ask about giving your legs a shake or something in between though - the amount of movement in between may vary because sometimes they need the position to not change. They do give a bolster- make sure it's as comfy as possible at the beginning.

Hello there!
Sorry to hear you are facing so many discomfortin situations and that health issues give you hard time also physically speaking, beside the emotional impact.
I hope the checks won't reveal a situation that is getting worst and that there could be meds that help it and the pain when it's unbrearable.
Sometimes we need to change plans and goals to adapt to situations so I really hope at a point you will be able to see what goals will be worth your focus along the way.
Best wishes with your MRI, let us know how it goes.
A big hug!
Hi there Hun. I am a lot older than you, but I suffer many of the same conditions, plus more. The conditions you have will not ruin your life goals. They are manageable. I suffer PCOS,osteopenia, osteoarthritis, endometriosis, lumbar and cervical spine severe degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, previous disc fracture, spinabifida, anxiety and depression. I've had countless surgeries. Please know, you still have a bright future. Educate yourself on your conditions and make a decision to control and manage them the best way you can.
Thank you all for your kind words 🙏🏻 in the end the MRI got cancelled because I have a dermal in my face so they didn't want to risk it being pulled inside me and killing me 🤦🏻♀️😅 so think I'm now gonna get a CT scan instead. Turns out I have osteoarthritis in my hips tho which sucks, they picked it up on an x-ray... I think the hardest bit about it all is my life goal is to live in a van and travel the world and one day live in a self sustainable community growing veg ect. But my mind and body cause me to struggle with average day to day so probably never gonna get to travel 🙃 oh well, suppose I just have to find a new goal
Hey there! I can really resonate with how you're feeling. I can see how frustrating all of this is for you. Getting a new diagnosis on top of the many you have can be the cherry on top before it all starts feeling too much. They're definitely not your fault so please don't blame yourself and having health conditions doesn't necessarily mean you have to write off your future plans. You will learn to adapt with them, don't let them hold you back! I'm glad that you came to 7 cups and had a rant about how you're feeling. It can really get a load off your mind. Take care.
@CrazyCrochetingCatLady it must be very hard for you to struggle with so much of diseases and mental health issues in so young age. I hope that you will find a lot of support here in disability community on 7cups.
