In the disability support community we are aware of changes to disability benefits, healthcare and policies that affect disabled people in various places around the world. Some are positive but unfortunately there are quite a few that are regressions.

We care, we are here to listen. You matter.

Your voice also matters. You can vote, write to representatives, fill out surveys for patient organizations, talk to people in your community, etc. May we continue to lift one another up!

@AffyAvo Thanks for highlighting this Affy!

In the UK we are facing huge changes to the disability benefits like PIP (Personal Independence Payment) which is money that the government pay to help disabled people to help them gain personal independence. It is said that they  are looking at cutting entitlements to certain groups of disabled people. There are several petitions and consultations so those that are interested can google this.

I am sure other countries will have their own problems with cuts and benefits too.

@MistyMagic Yeah, I heard about that and it, along with changes here and a few other countries prompted this.

Hopefully some of those negative changes will be reversed!
