Festival

I'm going to a music festival this weekend, literally my entire special interest over the past 6 years. I'm bringing my boyfriend and we get to sit in the VIP section for free because of my wheelchair. I still can't help but feel like my life is worth nothing. It's so stupid, I know it's stupid and the fact that I feel that way makes me feel even worse. Any time that I confess how badly I'm feeling lately my boyfriend just holds me and cries for his own comfort and makes me feel terrible, but I also can't help but think: I don't deserve any of this. Not the festival tickets, not the medical trials, not the one weekend of fun in a year full of pain, not my wheelchair.

@xXSpectrumblitzXx Hi there, welcome to the Disability Support community. I hope that you enjoy the festival as it sounds like something you do deserve and will love.

It's not a matter of "deserving" anything... We get what we can get in this life. If your status as a disabled person got you choice seats for the festival, that's a benefit. Be thankful for the good things you have, & enjoy them.

You might want to talk to your b/f at some point, however...if he only goes to you for his comfort & not your own, he may not be considerate enough to be the partner you need.
