@Mariam82 Hi and welcome to the Disability Support community.

It's tough to have a lupus diagnosis, it's a difficult disease to cope with. What did your rheumatologist suggest as usually flares are much shorter and build up, then plateau.

What kind of symptoms are you getting that indicate a flare? I found it very helpful to keep a diary of how I felt, and my different symptoms. What affected me and what I did too, then show it to my doctor. That way patterns emerge and show that perhaps other illnesses may be a factor here too.

What makes you feel better? Do you cope with UV well or is that a trigger too?

There is a lot that we can do to help ourselves and to build our own support network, it takes time though and needs careful monitoring.

You have come to the right place!

@Mariam82 |I posted a quick hello to your post here It makes more sense now that you have said you have RA and Crohns, so the three together may create a whirlpool of symptoms and feelings. I'm sure you know that it is important to make sure what you are feeling is actually one of these conditions or a combination so that you can be given the right care and support.
How do you manage Crohns? What kind of diet do you have? And with RA certain foods can help keep down inflammation and so lessen pain.

It's all about balance and management. And when you don't feel strong feel free to reach out to me and we can chat.

@Mariam82 I've had some friends with lupus, and I've seen how difficult it can be to manage at times. That's a long flare! How is it affecting you, if you're comfortable sharing?

I really hope you are able to get the right combo of meds/treatments/trigger avoidance to start feeling better soon! 💗
