My husband doesn't want to help with medical bills
I've been with my husband nearly 10 years, married for 5. These last few years, I've started to not feel well. I'm already diagnosed with hashimotos and pots, but this is different. So I went to a specialist and they are doing lots of testing. I'm drowning in co-pays. But I have to keep pressing forward because my labs suggest growth hormone deficiency. My mri alone was $1200. My husband doesn't want me to start a go fund me but at the same time he doesn't want to help me? He said he never took me for a woman that wants money.... yall. I feel so alone and unloved. My family is far away. I literally have no one to ask for help. I genuinely don't know what to do anymore.
@adaptableSugar212 I wish I had a solution for you! It's really hard when the system expects a patient to pay for so much.
This is complicated. Sounds like he is disrespecting you. It is not a matter of just money but your health here. I understand that he can’t empty the bank account for you, but he shouldn’t have said that.
There is no best solution. You have to make the decisions and weight the consequences. I don’t know how far your family is, but you may want to call them up. How old are your children? Would they be able to pitch in?
I wish you well.
