I have gone through a lot in my life almost dying 3 times and yet I sprang back each time believing there was a purpose for me. I have also struggled financially being slightly disabled and where I live, disability is not enough to live on. I've searched and searched for some kind of meaningful work to help but there isn't anything out there and at my age its hard to find something. I also have no friends in my age group and one doesn't want family to fill in the gap to be your close friends or even people you know and care about who are not in your age group. I feel alone and stressed all the time and as someone else posted on these threads not sure if anyone reads these.

Life can feel like it weighs you down sometime but everyone has a purpose. I went a couple years without a job and it was hard on me. No family support only my fianc which is frequently away with business. My start up job was a call center. Super easy and decent pay to get back on my feet. It wasn't too much either. I had a friend there who was previously on disability and they approved her to work ther since it was a sit down job. Starting that job I made a number of friends there we felt like a little family. You will have my support not sure if you are religious but I never gave up on prayer and he blessed me with a much better job. Keep your head up Hun. Better days are soon to come.

Hello Genealogymaster!

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, however I'm so glad you found the motivation to spring back! That's amazing!

That's interesting, how would you perhaps feel doing volunteer work? It would be a cool way to make some new friends (If it's in a job you're passionate about, such as I would work in a Game shop If I could). :)

If you're feeling alone try connecting to the 'LonelinessSupport chat' It's full of great people who think very similarly to yourself and are friendly and welcoming, and you'll find me usuallyactive in there also!

I hope I could help you, and I hope to see you in there.

-Dan :)

(P.S, I have included alink tothe Loneliness Self Help Guide for you to look at if you feel it would be of any benefit!) -https://www.7cups.com/how-to-deal-with-loneliness/

I've thought of different things to do but they never work. So I feel all alone.
