Does anyone have any tips for what to do with homework? I am horrible with procrastination and it's likely a result of my executive dysfunction with my ADHD. Any tips?

@GeekFace Welcome to disability support!

I'm not sure if I have anything to offer that you haven't already tried before. One is to just actually start, sometimes thinking about everything first can be a barrier. So if it's a writing sit down at the computer and open the document and write something on topic. If it's by hand like math, sit down with a pencil and paper and start by putting the problem down. This can be enough to get momentum going.

If that doesn't work, breaking things down into smaller chunks. Take a movement break at a natural break, 5 paragraphs, 10 math problems (or 1 long proof!), etc.

For ADHD I have recently heard the concept of body doubling. It's having someone there and just by their presence this helps some people. Maybe doing homework while someone is chopping food for dinner, or a quiet library, or getting together with someone to do homework even if you're doing different things - be careful with who you pick so you don't just keep distracting each other! There are even people who stream themselves working

Some people in Student Support and Support Plus (they have a handful of topics including ADHD) may also have some tips for you.
