Winter is coming in many countries, or already here in some. How does the change in season affect you physically?
is your chronic pain worse in winter? How do you cope with it? have you any strategies for help you to pass through winter season?

I don't meet all the criteria for chronic pain, but weather does affect me physically. Weather changes can be a trigger as can the cold.

All what I can do is continue with my meds, keep an eye out for warning signs when the weather is changing and pay attention to other triggers/minimizing them as much as possible, so that would include getting extra rest.

My arthritis is acting up something fierce. I've got a fairly decent system and routine for managing it, so it's more just the annoyance of knowing that I have to go through it all over again yet again. and again.. and again.

Ah well.. no one said life was going to be easy.

one of the things I do is hit the sauna a few times a week to get in some hot tub and hot steam room time. Also, when at home I wrap my legs in an eletric blanket and keep them super hot. This promotes blood flow and that keeps things circulating in my knees and ankles enough to keep most of the really troublesome sensations down to a intermediate level. occasional doses of anti-inflamatories does the rest.

@vivelespatates

Cold weather is awful for my circulation (one of the main components of my chronic illness), so everything gets worse. Blankets and baths are always good, though :)
