Hi my name is Zoe, and I am 14 years old. I have periods of eating less, and when I am stress, I overeat to relief the pain.

my dad calls me the chubby bunny and even my mum has started it. To the point where when I went shopping with her the other day the sales lady asked my size so I was like "18" and mum was all like "dont lie we all know how fat you are" even though i was honest. She took me to a plus size shop and piced the biggest size they had saying "this should work" I have days where I binge eat and days where I water-fast and I purge and it is horrible and every time i try and find a reason to get better, they give me another reminder of why i am so worthless. I am 18, am 185cmhigh and weigh 145kg. I am disgusting. I am a failure

Well this is super hard on me. My mother insults me daily for being obese. Maybe for the past 18 years I have heard the worst words for being obese on daily basis.

Hi I'm 16 and just about everyone has some type of comment on my weight. And it's always how I'm over weight, how much my stomache shows, that i loom pregnate. And some don't even say it to my face. I can't even eat in front of people without feeling judged. I have gone from skipping meals for days at a time to just missing one and exercise as much as possible. But it doesnt feel like its helping at all.

I have always yo-yoed in size, and have gone from 180 pounds to 230 in a short two years. I always worry about how I look, and body image has always been a problem for me. Just, you all need to know, you are B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! <3

I'm not very overweight because I'm always in and out diets in an attempt to control my binging and keep gaining and losing weight all the time, but I keep hearing my family call me things, mock me, etc, and my friends say "girl, just don't eat".

Actually, my brother and my father used to call me fat when I was a child and wasn't fat at all. I remember my doctor said in every yearly check that my weight was perfect for my age.

I've been binging as a way to deal with my feelings for 7 years now.

My name is Carmen and i have been overweight for the past 16 years. As much as I have tried over the years, i just as easily fall deeper and deeper into my rabbit hole. Most times I look at the mirror disgusted with who and how i look. As much as i know i have a lot of demons in my head i have just as many out of my head. My self esteem is gone and my will to be better and to strive through life is slowly fading away. i simply have given up on myself and others. Somehow i ended up here wanting to say what i really think , wanting some help because a part of me doesnt want to give up.

I don't like eating in front of anyone anymore and if I do I feel like they're judging how little I eat. But honestly, my stomach physically cannot hold that much food. I don't like people telling me I'm not eating enough or I'm eating too much because it's none of their business what I feed my body.

I don't know how much I weigh, but 3 years ago I was 135lbs. I've lost some weightand none of my pants fit me right but I can't do much about it so I deal. I don't drink anything but water because I think it's a waste to drink calories. I try to stay away from bread, but I live in a college campus so sometimes the food they serve is gross and I just grab a grilled cheese. I'm a little bit of a dragon sometimes, which is rather off-putting I know. But I'm honest and strangers talking about my size or my food really bothers me. I think that I'm normal in my eating habits. I don't feel tired or sick because of it so I don't think it's a problem.

@HoneyKittens I have the same problem. I'll eat pistachios, dried figs and apricots, cherries and a cacao bar for lunch but people give me looks like I'm some kind of bizarre alien space creature and it's a lot of pressure. It adds to my social anxiety and makes me feel highly uncomfortable even having someone else in the kitchen with me while I prepare my food.

I've done lots of research on the topic of losingweight. its all about loving yourself. Don't let those people's thoughts and hurtful words bring you down. Their opinion isn't important, you're a beautiful person on the inside right? Yes, you just have to wait until spring until you can bloom. Everyone has these struggles. So you're not alone. And there will always be a support group :)

Okay, I'm still the fat one. Like i said you have to love yourself first. Find one thing about yourself, let it be personality or physical attribute, just one new thing everyday that you can proudly say "i love this part of me!" look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself "i am beautiful and anyone who thinks otherwise is jealous of my beauty" because no matter what, everyone blooms. Also hard work and dedication, is always key. i believe in you and i believe you have a beautiful soul and i hope you see that too soon <3

and no one's negativity matters. they are bullies and they have their own insecurities. so kill them with kindness and just smile and move on.
