How does your eating disorder lie to you?
This is such a good question.
How don't our eating disorders lie to us? That "ed" voice in our heads telling us that we shouldn't be eating this or that, that we need to look a certain way, that we are eating too much.
In my eating disorder, I know that it is a ton of small lies that all intermix as well as come together to form this giant, massive lie that can potentially cause the ed to perpetuate. If that makes sense. Yikes maybe not so much on the making sense part, but oh well. :)

Great question - ED is full of lies! I think that being able to separate out the lying ED voice from the honest healthy voice is key to being able to combat those thoughts. Some of the lies that were hardest for me to get over:
- You're not that sick - you don't really need help!
- It's normal to do this, people just don't talk about it
- If you were really sick, people would say something
- Maybe X is a healthy amount for other people, but you're different and you can't trust what normal is for them
- If you were skinnier, everything else would be easier/better
