Hi, I'm Lauren and I think I have body dysmorphia. I hate the way my body looks and I constantly think I'm fat every day.

@Kitten4 - Recognizing that it is becoming an issue is an important first step, and I think that with support, it's something you can overcome. I hope you find that support here and please know that you are always welcome to reach out to me. Take care, lovely

im lauren, im 19, i was in denial for a while but i think some time last year i realized what im doing is indeed disordered, i believe i have anorexia. it gets worse sometimes, and lately it's been worse. I have no apetite, nothing is appealing. part of me knows im being an idiot by intentionally harming my body like this and wants help, but part of me likes this, finds victories in calories deficits, and does not want to gain weight.

lately ive found myself almost completely outlawing certain foods and feeling especially uncomfortable when not knowing the nutrition facts. someone mentioned free cookies in the cafeteria the other day, and it only took my brain a split second to remind me i cant have one, because that would interfere with the rest of what i was going to eat.

Hi, i'm Jade and i am on the edge of a eating disorder. I say that i'm on the edge because I haven't made myself throw up (yet) but I have thought about it but I am too scared of my disorder becoming real after that. I've been dealing with this for a long time now; I used (and still do) feel really guilty of eating big portion of food and binge eating and there are some days I barely eat so the next morning i like the way I look.

Hi, my name is Apolline. I am 21 and I have been struggling with an eating disorder for the past 9 years. The first few years it was anorexia, then bulimia and now BED. This is something I don't talk about, I'm sure you know how shameful it can be. At this point I don't even know if I 100% want to recover. 2 years ago I decided to recover from my anorexia/bulimia and was very excited about it. But then I turned to BED and became quite depressed, isolated myself and felt no sense of purpose. I've kind of talked about it to my mother but she does not understand. I've gained a lot of weight and am now overweight, not according to my ED but according to my doctor (and my clothes 😏). I'm sorry I would much rather bring positivity and support in the conversation, but I think I needed to be authentic. Thank you so much to this beautiful community.

I've recently come to the realization that I'm on track to becoming bulimic and I'm very scared, so I'm reaching out for help. My entire life I've been an athlete so I haven't put much though into the foods I'm eating because I needed to eat in order to perform at my peak. However, after tearing the cartilage in my hip I'm unable to exercise as I used to and quickly developed a fear of gaining weight. Every time after I eat, I feel a huge amount of guilt. A lot of the time I'll try to purge after I feel I've eaten a certain amount of food. My new mindset towards food is very unsettling and I would like to overcome this before it spirals out of control.

Hey, I'm Danielle. I don't know if I should be on this groupchat because I feel like my situation isn't serious enough. I have been going through bingeing/purging episodes a lot recently including restricting my calorie intake to only 500-800 a day. I would like to talk to someone, but I would not want my parents or any family members discovering what I do.

Hey, I'm Mish/Michelle, I'm 13 and I haven't got a diagnosed eating disorder but I often starve myself or binge and puke, but oh well. I'm a strange person because I'm pretty hypocritical - if my friend doesn't eat lunch, I get mad at her, but I never eat lunch, and things like that. This is the first time I'm really getting help. Bye :)

Hi, I'm new to 7cups, and I hope I can stick to it because it seems like a really helpful community. I've been struggling with my eating disorder for over 4 years now. It's evolved into different things over time. It began as a mix between anorexia and bulimia, but now it's more of a struggle with eating too much. I just wish that I could eat and be healthy like a normal person.

Hi, I'm Ash and I'm new to 7Cups. I've been struggling with an eating disorder for about a year now and I recently started getting better. I normally restrict myself to about 300-400 calories a day but recently I've gone up to about 600-700. It may not seem like much but I'm still proud of my progress. I hope to fully recover before my next birthday. I wish everyone else good luck and I hope you all recover/achieve your goal♡
