Advice for them?
Soooooo this couple has been married for like more than 10 years or so both of them have kids that are adults btw and they live in a house her children are hard working good people and his children are also hard working and good people except for one of them she was an excellent person had a career ect but she lost it all due to a heartbreak ect she decided it would be better to go out drink and drive do drugs and date “bad boys” live as a homeless and get together with a no life guy who mistreats her and its just DRAMA her dad is always on her side for everything even when shes wrong he doesn’t set his foot down
He lets her be ect
The she got pregnant by the loser guy and she came back to live with them no apologies no nothing she doesn’t work she doesn’t do nothing she expects to everything be the way she wants baby is born and she has no job she doesn’t do anything
her dad doesn’t ask her for anything always buying what she needs and the baby needs
His wife does ask him politely to tell her if shes not gonna work at least to help out in the house a bit but she doesn’t even do that. Shes lazy and rude
And doesn’t give af
Right now the couple is just constantly arguing
The dad really doesn’t care he says hes always gonna be on her side
And wife is feed up working her *** off to be able to pay the bills
And buy groceries
Helping him pay his bills too
What is your thoughts on all of this

Al-anon.
Active listening. Remember that people need to find their own solutions. It's clear you care and want to help, but you can't fix this for them, only support them in the choices they make.
Can you support the dad in the choices he is making?
@nightlily93 I am sure it would be frustrating and upsetting to live in a house with a person who doesn’t acknowledge that their actions impact others in the house (financially and emotionally). I can understand why the wife in the situation would want help whether that be chores around the house or contributing to the rent, as she is working hard at a job. It seems like it would also be hurtful and annoying that the dad would support/accept the daughter’s actions, even when they do not benefit her or use her potential. I can sense your compassion that you have for the people within this situation.
