Resentment to parents
I love my parents but resent them at the same time. They were not perfect but not awful either. I am from latin background and family is a priority in our culture but i dont feel that way and i feel guilty about it.
Now that Im considering having kids, i feel I would like to be better than they were but im also afraid i cant and my kids would resent me too. Anyone feeling the same or similar?

there are no perfect parents .... just like there are no perfect kids etc....
it is hard to see our parents ... when I say that i mean in a real perspective.... adult kids (mine included) remember items i think differently then how they really happened as one remembers one thing and brother remembers differently......... maybe you should explore what the resentment is about....
As for kids of your own most take bits and pieces of what worked mix it with spouse or partners experiences as well ...... almost impossible to duplicate another person successes or Failures.... sometimes you will start to see what your parents did or did not do in a different light when dealing with your own .
@Luna010 Hi, how are you doing today? I know life is tough right now, but you have to remember that there is no light without dark, no warm without cold. The world we live in is made to be challenging and continuously oppose us, we can't always feel pleasant, but we have to learn and adapt to find comfort in the dark.
