National Grandparents Day

National Grandparents Day was founded by Marian McQuade to honor Grandparents, and was established in 1970 to spread the awareness for celebrating Grandparents. Marian decided she was going to create a campaign and raise the awareness for it. Which with much success National Grandparents Day became official in 1978 by President Jimmy Carter!
Did you know that National Grandparents Day has an official flower and Song!
Yes, the National Grandparents Day Council chose both <3!
The National Grandparents Day official flower is the infamous Forget-me-nots and the National Grandparents Day official song is " A Song for Grandma and Grandpa" which was sung by singer Johnny Prill!
Funfact: National Grandparents Day is the first Sunday after Labor Day!
What are some ways you can celebrate Grandparents Day?
1. A walk in the Park
2. Visiting their home
3. Videocalling/Talking on the Phone with them
4. Going on a Picnic

My grandmother was my best friend!
She was so blunt in conversations, would keep you in your toes, but she was hilarious! I loved listening to her stories and how she lived! I miss her everyday 💕💜
