Restoration
I got into a really bad family argument on Saturday, those relationships are fine but the relationship with the person who is supposed to be my significant other is not. I was so angry, I said a lot of bad words and mean things to him that I feel bad about, but some of it needed to be said because I genuinely don't feel like he treats me fairly. I've been praying on things, and today is Wednesday. I did apologize for my nasty words, but I don't feel bad for the message because nobody gets to leech my energy and then go be with other people, meanwhile, I'm home minding my business not doing a single thing wrong. So, I feel good for getting things off of my chest, but I feel bad that it had to get that ugly. I do feel like my strength is being restored, feeling as weak as I did when I got sick wasn't fun. I was so weak because I had so much on my heart and a lot of stress, stress management is key and apart of that is not carrying a lot of negativity and working on my heart so things aren't a burden. Not proud of how I did it, but I'm proud it happened so I can take better care of myself, physically.
@sonnieeee
I am proud of you too.
Sometimes we are overwhelmed by things weighing on us. We do need to say things and if we have not done it for whatever reason when we are sick or worn out sometimes the things that NEED to be said come out in an ugly way. depending on our audience for example my significant other sometimes only seems to hear and absorb things when they are said that way ..........when I try to communicate in a nice and gentle manner it is if he does not listen.... but have a big argument and saying it without reservation they understand my frustration and point I am making clearly.
@sonnieeee
Thank you for continuing to share your heart and venting about this transition 💐
It sounds like you are navigating a whirlwind of emotions right now feeling regret about the harsh words used during Saturday's argument ، but also feeling a sense of relief and pride that you finally stood up for yourself and protected your energy It makes complete sense that you feel conflicted when things get ugly ، but it is wonderful to hear that you are focusing on your stress management and working on your heart so things aren't a heavy burden anymore .
Recognizing that you need to take better care of yourself physically and emotionally is a huge step toward healing Rebuilding your strength after carrying so much negativity takes time and patient .
As you continue to work on healing your heart and restoring your peace this week .
what is one gentle way you can practice self compassion today ?
@sonnieeee You're not wrong for protecting your energy and you're not wrong for wishing it came out cleaner. Both things can be true. Proud of you for apologizing where it mattered and standing firm where it counted. Keep restoring that strength.
