Cutting off one-sided friend at work
For the past 7 years, I had a been friends with another colleague at work and we have seemed to bond pretty well. In the last several months, however, she's hasn't been a very supportive friend for two of the following reasons.
1. She's getting really arrogant
2. She's becoming dismissive about the way that some of my colleagues tend to treat me, including my last two supervisors.
However, when she was mistreated by some of the colleagues, she used to complain to me about how she was treated our colleagues too.
At this point I don't feel like talking to her about why I don't wish to continue the friendship but I would like to let her know that I am not interested in the right nuances.
How should I drop hints?
@Summershy
the best way would be to ignore but i too would like to leave subtle hints as to why .......
i have just shut them down when they start speaking about themselves or their issues .... just excuse yourself from the conversation or after they tell some long story i would say ...'Oh sorry i have been thinking about my things did you say something? "
