I had a gut feeling about her
I had recently met a woman a year and a half ago who seemed like she was interested in wanting to get to know two friends and I.
The times I interacted with her, I thought something about her was off. For one thing, she seemed really phony and self-absorbed.
She invited two other one time and I noticed that looked at buying my two friends a shirt but not me.
She had also made some promises to my friends and I but never followed through. In the meantime, she has appeared to leave us at the bottom of her list, while she has all these friends and networks.
Well, I finally cut her off today after she showed me her true colors. I recently had an emergency situation that required me to set up a crowdfunding page. I even invited her.
Needless to say, she provided me a long list of reasons why she could not help. It was “Oh poor me, I can”t help you.” Yet, she had money to rent a dress for a black tie affair. She also had money to drive out of town to go on a few fishing trips.
I just decided of cut it off
@Summershy
Hello, I am so glad you learned this was not a good relationship.
Listening to our gut or intuition can prove very beneficial. We all learn by being willing to take a chance, and you did. I am sorry she did you that way.❤️
@WorkingitThrough2
She didn’t like it that I was using a crowdfunding app to ask for help for repairs.
Yet instead of telling me, she made a passive aggressive gesture. This was by sending me a short social media video implying that I was dumping my problems on other people. That people had enough to deal with as it was. Excuse me?
Yet, she wanted me to bend over backwards for her. For example, she asked my friends and I to vote for her in some adult beauty contest.

Thank you again for your support, I did a little bit of digging on this woman and found out what type of woman she is. Based on what I saw, it is clear that this woman is not only out for herself but wants to be number 1. She also tried to come across as a warm, caring, and accepting person towards people with disabilities. This was by playing the role of a campaign manager to one of my friends and kept pushing him to raise the most money so that he would win, which was two years in a row. Then she flaked out on him this last year by making excuses about how busy she is and how her fishing trips were more important.
I also shared my concerns with him after she made it clear that she didn't like that I started my crowdfunding campaign. That's when he expressed to me that she had been flaking out on him and never seemed to be there for him when he did fundraiser-related activities. So we both decided to go no contact by blocking her on social media and getting rid of her contact information.
I also talked him into finding a different campaign manager, so he contacted people in charge yesterday.
@Summershy
GREAT JOB!👍
@WorkingitThrough2
The thing is, she kept telling him "You need to win" but didn't during either of the two years
@Summershy
That surely sucks❤️
@WorkingitThrough2
In terms of her pushing him to, "Win," she was never able to make any of the fundraising events. She always seemed to have plans to go out of town. During the last year, she told him that she was too, "Busy" with her own life problems to help him raise the money.
However, I thought she was the wrong fit for him as a campaign manager as she seemed like someone who is rather wild. She was also very obnoxious.
@Summershy good on you for following your intuition
I hope you find new friends soon
