I think we live in a world today where people seem less invested in friendships and don’t know how to develop and cultivate friends. But I’m always open to new friends!

It's not impossible to form friendships, I agree. You can utilize the group chats, which is located on the 'groups' tab you'll notice next to 'chat' tab.
Although you're not able to create groups, there are several that co exist to this day.- General Support chat is a good one.
