So based on the title I just need some advice. My friend became hospitalized and the sickness was contagious so I couldn’t visit her for 3 weeks. Now we did text but I was so busy with school and sports and she was mostly sleeping so we didn’t talk much. Once she was better and back at school we were still kinda distant but I just thought she was doing catch up work so I left her alone after trying again. About 2 months later it’s still not the same. I had a birthday party where everyone of the party was going ice skating and she wasn’t invited as it was with my other friends. I told her we could go together the day after. She ended up having a sleepover with a girl named A (not her real name) and I was happy she had more friends but a little disappointed as we could not do our premade plans because they were busy. I asked them about it and it sounded like they had the time of their lives while when we hang out it’s not boring but it’s like a routine, we do the same things. Now I recently invited her to my house for a sleepover with just us and we can go ice skating together because we haven’t hung out alone in forever. Then I get a text from her saying A wants to come as well, I mean I felt a little sad but I said it was fine. Then my best friend says and I quote, “It's sm funner than ours E trust me lol” (I’m E) and they wanted to change the sleepover to As house. Then in the group chat they decided to have a full blown convo and I just didn’t talk. Now I’m a little upset but A is so kind I just can’t hate her and that makes me hate her more. I know hate is a strong word but that’s how I feel and now I feel so confused and stupid.

@Evvieskate

so when your friend was ill you did not stay in contact like you had before

when she returned to school you assumed she was busy catching up etc........ perhaps she thought fewer text meant you were doing things with others and so she starting hanging out with A.    Now you feel left out. Understandable

if you want to keep friendship there will be interactions with A and maybe once you hang out you will get to know her and enjoy yourself ... who knows when you get over feeling replaced  you may enjoy expanding your friend circle.

Many have gone through this several times in life    does not end with school ........ a new person  comes to a group / school/ work .... you can be angry/ hate or .......accept/ grow  and try to make the best of the situation who knows maybe you will like A in the end.

@Evvieskate

maybe you should talk. its hard i know. but on the brighter side it will help ur friend to understand ur feelings and will encourage them to speak to you about their side of the story.
a proper conversation might help.
