What do you think
Earlier this evening I heard someone talking about being addicted to various things like anger and drama. There are times when I would imagine that I am addicted or more focused on self pity. I don’t have the hallmark life by any means, but I have so much to be grateful for and to celebrate. Yet, if there is something that can possibly weigh me down, I will let it.
I just wanted to open up a chat about this.

I think many people are like that ... they know in the big picture of things maybe they have it better then they give it credit for. For some reason they always see negative first... maybe this is a taught move from parents or other influences in their life.
Self pity and drama is addictive in my opinion I saw it up close and first hand in some people who were at one time close to me. self pity was their excuse for every bad choice and lack of trying. It grows old quickly and people who once felt for you no longer care as the story gets old.
It is about attention when you seek attention this way it is a never ending play ...pity attention is not as rewarding as real attention for things we have done. We all have some set backs or roadblocks it is a choice to let that define you.
