What to do if you know a friend is lying to you?
I have a long distance friend and I recently told her that I feel like our communication hasn't been the greatest lately. We agreed to talk on the phone once a week at a set time and I feel good about it.
But we were supposed to have our first talk on the phone today, but she canceled and gave me some excuse about schoolwork. The excuse just didn't feel right to me so I checked her location and she is at her boyfriend's apartment. I'm not sure what to do because I know she's lying so should I tell her or should I let it slide?
This is actually really hurtful and I just want to end the friendship at this point.

people get in over their head sometimes ....... set up a talk with you but then maybe asked over there does bF know about you......or is this on the sly
i had a video call come to a sudden halt when my friends had an unexpected visitor .......... i was angry but know our friendship is just ours and he is protecting his world and the fallout if others knew .............. we made that deal
Yeah I'm trying to not jump to conclusions before I hear her side. She has been talking to this guy ever since grad school started and she won't tell me anything about him. I just let her know that she can be honest with me about things, but I'll see how she responds. I'm worried she'll keep lying and not admit it.

Maybe she is unsure how she really feels ....Even if your relationship has been based on telling each other everything .....some things people are hesitant to share in case it does not work etc.
I have a BFF that i thought i could confide in and one subject i thought she would be happy for me to share ...........she was not receptive probably because it reminded her of an error she made earlier in her life and somehow she thinks I do not remember .......
It is most likely her trying to make her own feelings clear before sharing with you.
